The Crick Store (Cricket Equipment Showroom)
Hit through the line
Cricket has a known history beginning in the late 16th century. Having originated in south-east England, it became the country's national sport in the 18th century and has developed globally in the 19th and 20th centuries. International matches have been played since 1844 and test cricket began, retrospectively recognized, in 1877. Cricket is the world's second most popular spectator sport after association football (soccer). Governance is by the international cricket council (ICC) which has over one hundred countries and territories in membership although only eleven currently play test cricket. "Line and length" is the basic theory in cricket. When players are in the middle of the ground, whether a batsman or bowler, both must think about the line and length of the ball. Bowlers must bowl to the line. Batsmen must hit through the line of the ball. Fielders must catch the ball within its line. The "line" plays a major role in the field. This provided as the inspiration for the theme of the space. The color theme of the space is closely interconnected with cricket as well. The designer thought of the antiquity of cricket, and how it has reached spectators over the decades, first in black and white, and then in sepia (through television). Perspectives were also taken into consideration, as spectators view the cricket field as being "green" and lush as opposed to the players, who would have a different experience as they played through the dust and heat of the ground. All of these contexts were analyzed to come up with a color theme for the space. The design was inspired purely by cricket from the colors, textures, furniture, and to lighting. You can truly feel the spirit of cricket in this successfully designed cricket showroom.
Nike Showroom
Power Sports & Speed
Nike store is designed to international standards to bring out the true spirit of the brand. Nike established itself as a brand that is considered to be dominating the world of sportswear via constant celebrity endorsement and has become this symbol of pride for athletics. NIKE brand identity as a symbol of agility, speed, and athleticism was established via its logo's strategic positioning. They mainly focus on five categories: running, football, basketball, training and casual wear. And also, tennis is included in the design. Spaces of the design is divided into six zones according to those categories. Selected site has two floors. Ground floor is selected for running, football and tennis. And first floor is selected for training, basketball and casual wear. Concept of the design is to enhance speed and energy of games which symbolizes from the Nike brand identity. The ambience of the store will create speed and energy through its interior. To show the concept of speed and energy horizontal and vertical lines are used which has the effect of visually expanding spaces. They convey strength, stability and also diagonal lines which can suggest movement, energy and action is used. To show the concept of speed and energy colors play a significant role in interior with psychological aspects. The main color used in the design is black. Psychological black gives strength, comfort and protection. Red, orange and yellow colors are used which are energetic colors. These colors can be very attention-grabbing. Orange which is used in 'Nike' interiors is often a bright, happy and uplifting color. Orange can call the mind feelings of excitement, enthusiasm, and warmth. Color scheme is used in a way that the energy of the game is reflected through the design resulting in the overall fulfillment of the conceptual idea of the design.
